Results from the vote for a Health Club and Pool feasibility study were made official on Thursday, November 20th around 3:45pm. Election inspector Bruce Bishop and volunteers Kim Higgins, Rob Schaefer and David Moon counted the ballots. A total of 1,475 votes were cast and the results are as follows:
Voters were asked whether or not they supported the Association spending up to $350,000 to study and professionally plan a Health Club and Pool facility.
RSF HOA Director Heather Slosar made the following statement:
“We are happy to see that voter participation is alive and well in Rancho Santa Fe, well over the turnout levels for the November state elections and almost twice as large as the turnout in RSF’S HOA votes just a year ago. This is the kind of community participation that we are encouraged to see and we hope gives everyone a level of comfort that the Board listens to all members, regardless of our positions in particular issues.”
The Association Board will discuss a course of action in light of the results at its December 4th meeting at 9:00am.
