On November 9, the Rancho Santa Fe Association Board (RSFA) sent a letter to the San Diego County Department of Public Works stating the community-wide survey showed that 73 percent of RSF residents support the installation of roundabouts over traffic lights. This letter retracts the Association's previous recommendation in favor of traffic signals.
“I am writing to provide you with a new recommendation from the Rancho Santa Fe Association Board of Directors for the installation of roundabouts at three intersections along Paseo Delicias at Via de la Valle, El Montevideo/La Valle Plateada and El Camino Del Norte,” RSF Association Manager Bill Overton wrote.
The RSF Board reviewed the community-wide survey results and voted unanimously (6-0, with one member being absent) to change their recommendation for the County.
