New Village Street Sign Toppers

The next time you're in the Village, look for our new street sign toppers. There was a short ceremony before the RSF Association Strategy meeting Tuesday to unveil the first topper. Over the next few weeks, the remaining two dozen or so toppers will be installed on all village road signs to give the RSF Village a distinct historical district identity.

The County wouldn't allow these types of distinctive road signs that can be seen in the City of San Diego.

The Association had been working with the County for quite a while on this project. It was spearheaded by the Infrastructure Committee headed by Mark Simpson. Initially they tried to get permission to replace the road signs with distinctive road signs as seen in some City of San Diego neighborhoods. However, the County is nothing if not wedded to their standards, so the best we could come up with were these sign toppers, which is still an attractive choice.

If these signs become popular, the Association might install them on all RSF Covenant road signs.
