Commercial Agricultural Water Program Application Period to Start Nov 14

The Santa Fe Irrigation District (SFID) announced details regarding its Commercial Agricultural Water Program Tuesday. SFID customers can start applying to the program on November 14. In order to be eligible for the program, customers must qualify as a commercial grower within the SFID's service area. 

According to a SFID release qualifying customers must provide:

• Business License or Certificate
• Verification of $1,000 in annual gross revenue from sale of agricultural commodity
• Certification of approved backflow prevention device
• Dedicated meter for agricultural water use

The Commercial Agricultural Water Program allows customers to bill their commercial agricultural water use at the agricultural water rate, instead of the residential rate. For more information about the Commercial Agricultural Water Program visit the SFID at http://www.sfidwater.org/.
